What counts is take-off weight including full equipment: XS 50–65 kg, S 60–80 kg, M 76–96 kg, L 90–110 kg. The ranges are cut tighter than on a beginner wing — deliberate on a high-B, because wing loading has more influence on behaviour. If you sit between two sizes, the choice noticeably affects handling; talk to us before ordering.
Sizes S, M and L are certified EN B. XS is listed as EN B* — the asterisk is a manufacturer's note on that size; the certification documents for each size are available as downloads. If the exact classification matters to you legally or for insurance, please check the certificate for your size.
The Nestra Light has two load-bearing line levels plus a reduced third one — hence 2.5. Fewer lines mean less drag and cleaner airflow, most noticeable in accelerated flight. Add the C-steering: in accelerated flight you correct via the C level instead of the brakes, keeping the profile cleanly loaded. That is performance-class technology, here in a B wing.
For pilots with consolidated technique who want to fly distance and will actually use the extra performance. The key figures: 60 to 61 cells, aspect ratio 5.86 to 6.0, slowest flight 23 km/h, trim 39 km/h, maximum above 52 km/h, minimum sink 0.9 m/s. As a first wing after training it is too much — as a wing to grow into after one or two seasons, it fits.
The canopy weight is between 4.35 kg (XS) and 4.65 kg (L) depending on size. Three colour options are available: Turquoise (#02), Red (#05) and Black (#38).
V-links on the risers, neodymium brake magnets for clean stowing of the brake handles, a speed system with ball-bearing pulleys and FLEXON rods in the leading edge. The latter keep the nose in shape without making the wing demanding to pack.
High-B is not a certification class of its own but market terminology for the highest-performing wings within the EN-B certification — EN 926-2 only knows A to D.
