Every APCO wing carries the same origin label: Made in Caesarea, Israel. APCO has manufactured there for decades in its own facility — fully vertically integrated, without outsourcing and without white-labelling. What that concretely means can be pinned to four points the manufacturer documents itself.
1. Custom colors ex works
Because production is in-house, APCO offers what outsourced production struggles with: “Apco Gliders can also be ordered with custom colors to suit your needs, be it a personal preference or for advertising purposes.” Custom colors and custom logos are regular order options — we handle both directly with the Caesarea factory.
2. Warranties that point to in-house production
The manufacturer’s warranty statements are unusually specific — and only possible when you build every component yourself:
- Wings: 3 years / 250 flight hours (Hybrid models: 1 year / 100 hours, manufacturing defects only — certificate available for download)
- DSC cloth: “Double coated siliconised cloth (covered by 3 years / 250 hours warranty)”
- Embedded hook-up points: “introduced to the market in the 1990’s and carry a lifetime warranty”
- Trimmer system: “carries a ‘life time warranty’ for wear or slippage of the trimmers throughout the lifetime of the glider”
3. Own technologies instead of bought-in parts
The construction elements listed in the datasheets are APCO’s own developments carrying the ® mark: FLEXON® battens, HIT Valve®, plus DSC cloth and the embedded Dyneema hook-up points. Details in the materials story and the glossary.
4. The route to you: Caesarea → Taufkirchen
Flyapco is the distribution for DACH/EU. Our delivery warehouse is in Taufkirchen near Munich: incoming inspection after transport, logbook verification and shipping to end customers and dealers happen there. We clarify custom-order questions directly with the factory.
