Brand · About us

Five decades.
One manufacture.

APCO Aviation has been building paragliders, paramotor wings and harnesses in its own workshop since 1976. From the first thread to EN certification — everything under one roof in Caesarea, Israel. Flyapco is the distribution for DACH and the EU, with a service workshop in Munich.

What defines us

Three principles.

Brand history

Five decades in steps.

  1. 1974

    Hang-glider origins

Company founder Anatoly Cohn designs and builds hang gliders at Agur Gliders from 1974.

  2. 1982

    APCO founded

Anatoly Cohn founds APCO — and commits early and fully to the paraglider.

  3. 1984

    Mayday rescue systems

Mayday production begins. Over 40,000 reserves delivered to date — with hundreds of life-saving deployments.

  4. 1986

System K — the first APCO paraglider

The first series-built APCO paraglider, with 7 or 9 cells.

  5. 1990s

World records + a lifetime detail

By 1996: six world records on APCO wings, an average of three new models a year. The embedded hook-up points reach the market — carrying a lifetime warranty to this day.

  6. 2014

Vista — first true 3-liner of the EN-B class

Shark-nose and a true 3-line architecture; today's Vista VI continues that line.

  7. 2020

    F1 22 — FAI triangle world record

Daniel Tydecks flies a 303.3 km closed FAI triangle. In total, 11 world records stand on APCO wings.

  8. Today

    Caesarea, vertically integrated

60 employees build thousands of wings, harnesses and reserves a year — including custom colors from the factory.
